Representing the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies of the University of Rijeka, the assembly was attended by Dr. Valentina Otma\u010di\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, the initiative, launched in 2024, brings together individuals from the Gorski Kotar region dedicated to fostering peacebuilding, as well as non-governmental organizations including the Youth Initiative for Human Rights \u2013 Croatia, HERMES, the Association for a Better World, and the Centre for Peace Studies from Zagreb. The two key objectives of the initiative are the preservation and promotion of the legacy of peace in Gorski Kotar and the collective memory of individuals who, during the 1990s, ensured that armed conflict did not occur in the Gorski Kotar area, as well as the revival of the activities of the Peace School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants of the assembly reflected on the key achievements and challenges the initiative faced during 2025.
