On May 24th, poetry workshops for primary and secondary school students and teachers were held at the InnovaLab pavilion, organized by the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Rijeka and Goran\u2019s Spring, in collaboration with the County Council for Extracurricular Activities of the Education and Teacher Training Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshops were led by poets Ana Brnardi\u0107 and Goran \u010colakhod\u017ei\u0107, and the hosts of the event were Helena de Karina and Neboj\u0161a Zeli\u010d from the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies, along with Svijetlana Miljkovi\u0107, head of the County Council for Extracurricular Activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through reading poetry, writing, and guided discussions, students reflected on the role of literature in challenging times and the power of language to express emotions and experiences. Using creative methods, participants experienced literature as a space of resistance, compassion, and personal strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program once again confirms the importance of literature in building personal and social resilience, and in understanding the world – especially in times of conflict and uncertainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
