Dr. Valentina Otmačić, Deputy Head of the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Rijeka, participated at Eirenefest, the Italian bookfair featuring works on peace and nonviolence, held in Trieste on June 7-8, 2025. Accompanied by Ms. Andrea Cvitan from Rijeka, dr. Otmačić presented her book Resisting Inter-Ethnic Violence: Community Approaches to Conflict Transformation in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Several recent works dealing with the topics of contemporary challenges to peace were presented at the bookfair, and a number of round tables were held.
