From 24 to 26 April, the traditional annual gathering of teachers involved in the implementation of the optional subject School and Community (SiC) was held on Cres. During the three-day program, about fifty teachers exchanged experiences on their work to date and discussed the final activities for this school year.
The meeting brought together SiC teachers from Primorje-Gorski Kotar, Krapina-Zagorje, Istria counties and the City of Zagreb. As part of the program, participants traditionally visited the Moise Palace, a research center of the University of Rijeka on the island of Cres. The meeting was also attended by an external associate of the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies, Professor Helena de Karina.
Cres has shown a warm welcome this year, and the weekend meeting served as an ideal opportunity to strengthen the SiC teacher community, which will round off this year’s work cycle.
