CPCS on the panel on social networks

The Croatian Association for Public Relations (HUOJ) organized a panel discussion entitled “Media 2.0.: Who controls information on social networks?”. The panel discussion was held on May 8 at the Innovalab premises at the University of Rijeka Campus, and was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Marko Horvat (Department of Applied Computing, FER), Dr. Sc. Mario Žuliček (Center for Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Rijeka) and Ivan Ćaleta (Center for a Safer Internet). The discussion was moderated by Ermina Duraj, Head of the Primorje-Istrian Branch of the HUOJ.

This activity is part of the project “Improving the Culture of Fact-Checking – TOČNO”, which is implemented with the financial support of the European Union, in partnership of the Croatian Association for Public Relations, Lider Media and the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. The project is aimed at combating disinformation and strengthening society’s resilience to fake news, misleading information and conspiracy theories.
