The Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Rijeka has announced a call for expressions of interest for enrolment in the microqualification programme “Public Policy Analysis”, the only academic programme of its kind in the Republic of Croatia.
The call is open from 15 October to 5 November 2025 (until the end of the day).
The programme is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to analyse, develop, and implement public policies based on evidence and contemporary methodologies. It is intended for employees in public administration and local government, members of civil society organisations, consultants and managers working in the fields of project management, public procurement, and strategic communication, as well as students from YUFE universities and the University of Rijeka.
The programme lasts one semester and carries 30 ECTS credits. It combines in-person and online learning, and upon completion, participants receive a certificate of completion issued by the University of Rijeka.
Teaching begins on 29 January 2026 and continues until June 2026. The programme includes four in-person sessions and online classes, complemented by mentoring and practical application of acquired knowledge. The in-person sessions will take place at the University Campus in Rijeka and at the Moise Palace on Cres Island, generally from Thursday to Saturday.
To express interest, applicants are required to submit:
- A completed online form: https://forms.gle/VGG3LqResS8n1Gnr9
- A copy of their undergraduate or graduate diploma
- A curriculum vitae (CV)
- A motivation letter (up to 500 words) explaining how the programme will contribute to their professional development
The number of participants is limited, and the ranking list will be created based on the submitted documentation. For students of YUFE universities and the University of Rijeka, it is not a prerequisite to have completed undergraduate or graduate studies.
In case of technical difficulties during the application process, candidates can contact csmk@uniri.hr.
The tuition fee is EUR 1,100.00, but a discount is available for the first cohort of participants, reducing the total fee to EUR 700.00.
The tuition covers teaching, materials, lectures by university professors from Croatia and abroad, administrative costs, and the issuance of the completion certificate. The program is free of charge for students from YUFE universities and the University of Rijeka.
